Treat your body like the complex, high-performance machine that it is. Put it through its paces regularly; it can more than handle it. In fact, it will soon begin to crave it.

Start with an appropriate level of activity (for your age and fitness level) and then slowly ramp it up — in frequency, duration and intensity — as you get stronger.

Find something — a sport or activity — you like and do it. a lot.

Develop a high body IQ. Become knowledgeable about your body and how it works. Body awareness increases results exponentially.

Track your progress so you have proof of how far you've come.

Engage in activities that build lean muscle mass and burn fat.
